Amiri Baraka in March 25 Lecture

Amiri Baraka, the poet, activist and author of "Blues People," "Digging" and many other books, will speak on March 25 as part of the New Orleans Jazz & Heritage Foundation's Tom Dent Congo Square Lecture Series.

Time: 7 p.m. 

Location: Dillard University's Lawless Memorial Chapel (map)

Admission: Free

The world-famous jazz saxophonist Edward "Kidd" Jordan and his band also will perform.

The Tom Dent Congo Square Lecture Series is one of the many year-round programs of the New Orleans Jazz & Heritage Foundation , the nonprofit organization that owns the New Orleans Jazz & Heritage Festival presented by Shell.
