Sync UpDates - Sync Up Conference News
Troy "Trombone Shorty" Andrews will be the subject of a case study on how to succeed in the music business as part of the third annual Sync Up conference, held in New Orleans during Jazz Fest.
The schedule of panel discussions and presentations for the 2010 Sync Up conference (April 23-24 and April 30-May 1) is now complete.
In addition to a keynote by David Simon, co-creator of the new HBO series "Treme," plus panels on licensing music to film and TV, the international music festival market and using social networking tools to market and sell music, our newly announced April 30 panel will examine how Troy "Trombone Shorty" Andrews rose from brass band child prodigy to a new major-label record deal with Verve/Forecast/Universal.
For the complete schedule of panel dates, times and speakers, please visit the Sync Up conference web site here.
Bios and photos of all the panel presenters are also now online, as is a directory of the nearly 300 people who have registered for the conference.
